Michael Trujillo, MD, MPH, MS
Executive Director for Program Development and Community Outreach for the Translational Genomics Research Institute (TGen) in Phoenix, AZ 

Dr. Trujillo will be speaking at our Scholar Seminar Series entitled: 

"Indian Health Care from the 30,000 Ft. Level: A Perspective of Issues and Politics"

During the years 1994-2002, Dr. Michael Trujillo served as the Director of the Indian Health Service and was the first Presidential appointed Director of the Indian Health Service with Senate confirmation. As Director, he was an Assistant Surgeon General/Rear Admiral in the US Public Health Service. He served two-four year terms as Director, and in June 2002, he was appointed to the Office of the Surgeon General, Department of Health and Human Services.
